Arborfield Cross is a small village situated some 3 miles south east of the town of Reading, 3 miles west of the smaller town of Wokingham and about half a mile to the east of Arborfield. Recently, both Arborfield and Arborfield Cross have become collectively known as Arborfield. There is a mixture of housing ranging from beautiful 15th century cottages through to modern housing. Being surrounded by stunning farm and woodland makes it a good location for those looking to commute to the larger towns but live in a more rural setting. Lockey Farm in Arborfield Cross started life as just a working farm but has in recent years expanded to offer the local community a fabulous farm shop, butchers, café, children’s play area and crazy golf. The Bull Public House, located at the centre of Arborfield Cross, offers an excellent selection of freshly prepared food and a good selection of traditional real ales.
