Barkham is an attractive semi-rural village about 2 miles on the outskirts of Wokingham. Surrounded by farm and woodland, the area is popular with families and has a population of around 3,500. The beautiful Coombes woodland lies to the north west of Barkham and is rich in a diversity of wildlife. It is a designated area of special scientific interest and can be explored via its expanse of public footpaths, bridleways and byways.
